The workshop will be from 6-8 pm . There will then be time to mingle and dance.
Topic: How to Organize for Change is a workshop from WTC (Women Transforming Cities) to explore who you are as a changemaker and gain the foundation you need to form a grassroots campaign.
Here's what you'll learn:
- What community organizing is and who it is for
- The structure of an effective campaign, including identifying targets, power mapping, and campaign tactics
- How to sustain yourself as an organizer
Please note that it is not only for women, it is for everyone.

Group Rules and Regulations for Sher Vancouver Events:

Embrace diversity and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and safe. While opinions may differ, we expect everyone to be respectful and kind to one another.
2. No hate speech: Sher Vancouver has zero tolerance for hate speech, bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any form of discrimination. Any form of hate speech or discrimination will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action - warning , suspension or a ban.
3. Zero Tolerance of Body Shaming: Absolutely no body shaming, whether it pertains to weight, appearance, or any other aspect of an individual's physicality. Encourage body positivity and self-acceptance.
4. Confidentiality and Privacy: Respect the privacy of all attendees and refrain from sharing personal information without explicit consent. Recognize the importance of confidentiality in fostering trust and creating a safe space.
5. Consent and Boundaries: Obtain explicit consent before engaging in touch or any physical contact. Encourage attendees to communicate their boundaries clearly and respect those boundaries at all times.
6. Non-Discrimination: Do not discriminate against individuals based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, disability, or any other characteristic. Promote equality and inclusivity at all times.
7. Active Listening and Open-Mindedness: Create an atmosphere of open communication where participants can express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Practice active listening by attentively hearing and respecting diverse perspectives.
8. Safer Space Policy: Implement a clear safer space policy that outlines unacceptable behavior, including harassment, verbal abuse, or any form of assault. Ensure that reported incidents are taken seriously and handled promptly and empathetically.
9. Language and Respectful Communication: Encourage the use of inclusive and respectful language when addressing others. Avoid derogatory or offensive slurs or any language that can be perceived as disrespectful or demeaning.
10. No trolling: We expect members to engage in discussions respectfully and constructively. Any form of trolling, harassment, or abusive behaviour will result in disciplinary action.

13. Avenues for Feedback and Grievances: We have clear channels for attendees to provide feedback, raise concerns, or lodge complaints related to the event or any participant's behavior.
