We are absolutely delighted to bring you a ghost hunt at the foreboding Shepton Mallet prison! Shepton Mallet Prison is widely recognised as the most haunted prison in the World. Haunted by many ghosts including the white lady. Our visit September 2024 was incredibly active from experiments with traditional and modern methods of ghost hunting. Small groups welcome to join us. The prison opened in 1625 and was a category C prison until its closure in 2013. Infamous prisoners were The Kray Twins! American servicemen were executed at the prison: sixteen were hanged in the execution block and two were shot by a firing squad in the prison yard. On Tuesday the 2nd of March 1926 the last civilian execution took place at Shepton Mallet when Tom Pierrepoint hanged John Lincoln for the murder of Edward Richards at Trowbridge in Wiltshire.
