SHENANDOAH RUN CD RELEASE SHOW, DAUGHTER OF THE STARSShenandoah Run is a nine-member folk ensemble from the Washington, DC area. Formed in 2011, the band performs traditional and contemporary folk music in a manner that delights a diverse mix of music lovers of all ages.
Join us at their CD release show, Daughter of the Stars. Heading into the studio to record our third CD was "old hat" for the three members who have been with the band since its beginning. Though we work hard to maintain our SR sound, we all bring our own talents and musicality. We appreciate the support we receive from the DC area music community, and we feel honored at the joyful reception from our live audiences
SR showcases the spirited sounds of Americana, along with the occasional country or bluegrass tune, and delivers a rousing mix of music and styles. The members' vocal and instrumental savvy, coupled with a strong desire to keep folk music alive and fresh, are key to the group’s success.
