Shen-Hammer Pulse System – seminar in Lund 2024 (Sweden). 3 x 3 hours theory online + 2 x 3 days hands-on Lund.
Pulse diagnosis NEW set-up. First we will do 3 x 3 hours online via ZOOM which will be recorded and you will have access afterwards – dates; 25 September + 9 October + 23 October 2024 – live 18.00-21.00 CET.
Then we will meet for the hands-on part in Lund 25-27 Oct + 15-17 Nov 2024 9.30-17.00 all days.
Teaching will be a mix of theory and practice, and the practical part will include close personal supervision of each participant.
FREE 1 hour introduction to the seminar will be taught in the White Pine Circle August 14th 2024 18.00 CET.
Structure of the hands-on seminar: It’s held Friday-Sunday, all days from 9.30-17.00.
1. weekend - we introduce the Shen-Hammer pulse system, we look at the structure of the system, the placement of the fingers for the entire pulse, the 3 depths, pulse waves and the most common pulse qualities. We will briefly introduce the individual positions and discuss how to analyze the pulse picture.
2. weekend – we will start this segment with palpating and analyzing 2 patients.
We break down/interpret the pulse pictures and discuss treatment approaches.
Dr. Shen’s System model and the Six Conformations/Liu Jing is one of these approaches.
Material; all participants will receive teaching material in Danish and/or English. Just to avoid
misunderstandings we will not cover all the extra positions (of which there are 22) but just some of them. Teaching material will include all of them and they will be briefly discussed. The seminar will be taught in English.
The seminar is taught by Claus Sørensen. Claus has for some years been a Certified Senior Instructor of the
pulse system (DRS Instructor), a certification received by Dr. Leon Hammer. Claus has integrated the pulse system into the curriculum and acupuncture program taught at Nordisk Akupunkturuddannelse - www.zcdskole.dk in Denmark. Claus is also a herbalist, first trained in Lund by Louis Womack, and in 2021 he graduated from Sharon Weizenbaums ‘Graduate Mentorship Programme’. Claus has taught seminars around Europe, taught at the Rothenburg Congress, and also at White Pine Circle, both online and hands-on in the US.
Registration:
The online part is taught via White Pine Circle – you will receive details upon registration. Its free to sign up at White Pine Circle, but you then pay the online part to WPC. USD 225, -.
Hands-on part in Lund – total SEK 8600,-, so SEK 4.300,- per weekend. You pay SEK 4.300, - to register and secure a place. For 2nd weekend SEK 4.300, - by 1st November 2024.
