About this Event

Leadership Forum

Join us for Shelter Her Strength, a Leadership Forum on Women's Housing and Safety during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence. On average, one woman a week is murdered by an intimate or former partner in Australia. Domestic and family violence continues to be a key priority for community organisations in Western Sydney and beyond.
The Forum, featuring Minister Jodie Harrison, is delivered in partnership with City of Parramatta Council and the Parramatta-Cumberland Domestic and Family Violence Committee. It focuses on women's housing and safety, and the priorities and considerations for the Western Sydney region.
As part of the Western Sydney Leadership Forum series, the forum provides a platform for leaders to escalate and intensify service delivery and social and cultural goals in greater Western Sydney. The forums foster dialogue and collaborative strategies, and deepen connections with leaders.
