Location: YDL-Michigan (Meeting Room 1)Facing a housing crisis or risk of homelessness? A Shelter Diversion Specialist from the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County (SAWC) is available every other Tuesday (unless otherwise specified) at YDL-Michigan to offer support.
Shelter Diversion is a fast and flexible strategy that helps you find safe alternatives to entering emergency shelter. Support may include:
• Problem-solving and housing planning
• Mediation with landlords, friends, or family
• One-time financial assistance
• Transportation support (Fare Deal card authorization)
• Help obtaining IDs and vital documents
• Mail contracts to use the Delonis Center address
• Referrals to local and regional resources
No RSVP or appointment is needed! Please check in with the front desk to be added to the sign-in sheet to speak with the designated Shelter Diversion Specialist about your unique needs.
