About this Event
Dear staff and volunteers,
You are a special type of animal lover, kind, compassionate and devoted. The future of the animals in your care lies in your hands, and th care you offer marks the beginning of a successful integration into each animal's new forever home. While the animals are with you, you become their trusted source and meeting their needs is part of your job of passion. Thank you for all you do!
That said, no matter how good we are at what we do, at some point, we will meet a dog that challenges us a bit more than the rest. Scott Stauffer, the creator of Affective Dog Behavior will be in Lubbock throughout the month of April, and on April 6th, he will be available to answer your dog behavior questions and offer tips and his own expertise in a relaxed roundtable setting. Please join us, if you can.
What to expect from your coach
The thing to know about Scott Stauffer is that he isn't a traditional trainer, he is a K9 Life Coach. As such, his focus is on emotional connection between human and dog. His approach promotes a better understand of a dog's emotional and physical needs in the moment. When needs are addressed and met, dogs feel safer and are less likely to display intense and potentially scary behaviors.

A big thank you to Sarah Oden for generously hosting this event on her home turf.
