Join us for a morning of exploring the North Reach of the Knauf Trail along the Big Blue River in search of local and migrating bird species. This event will be approximately 1 to 2 hours and distance traveled will be 2 miles. There is no commitment so you can join for part or all of the time. The Knauf Trail is a paved trail, however comfortable footwear such as boots or hiking footwear is suggested. Come dressed for the weather that day. There are benches for rest along the way. Bring binoculars for viewing, and pack a bottle of water. We will meet at the The Porter Visitors Center at 501 North Harrison Street, Shelbyville, Indiana. There are bathroom facilities at the Porter Center, but no facilities along the trail. Looking forward to Shelby County's first Guided Bird Walk since being named a BirdTown County!
