About this Event
**Make sure to RSVP on Facebook AND Register on Eventbrite! Lift tickets/passes must be purchased separately via Crystal Mountain’s Website.**
Hello Shred-it Sisters and SheJumpers!
Join us for our Month Mountain Meetup at Crystal Mountain in Washington! We welcome all women (cis and trans), non-binary, other gender diverse participants! Come on out and shred snow with us on skis or snowboards and make some new mountain friends throughout the day. We aim to meet up at 10am at the base area (look for our banner!) and have the option to disperse or get back out together after lunch time. The optional lunch meetup will be at 1pm- location will be communicated at the morning sign-in.
This page is set up as a series, if you hope to attend multiple meetups make sure you register for each day you would like to attend. Here is our meetup schedule for the winter:
- January 12th
- April 12th
- May 4th
There will be separate Facebook events for each event so we can use Facebook to coordinate each month!
FYI these are NOT guided or teaching days and lift tickets are NOT included in this registration. Discounted group lift tickets may be available- if you need a ticket, please message the group leader, Chelsea about it. These are member run meetups so groups will determine together what trails they want to ride. We will try to have beginner, intermediate and/or advanced groups depending on attendees so be sure to RSVP and note your skill group preference. If you would like to be a group leader (just the person who makes sure no one gets left behind, you don't have to be the front runner or fastest person) please let us know, we always need more! To make registering for your skills group easier we have made a list of skills categories.
Please use this guide during registration on Eventbrite!
Beginner: Greens
Beginner-mediate: Greens and starting to get out on blues
Intermediate: Comfortable on blues
Intermediate-advanced: Comfortable on all blues and starting blacks
Advanced: Comfortable on blues and blacks, some double blacks
Expert+: Comfortable on anything
Additional Modifiers for pace and trail type preference(s) (include all that you are interested in)
F: Fast
S: Slow
O: Off-piste
G: Groomers
We will plan to meet at the base, introduce everyone, and break up into groups at 10am (keep an eye on the FB event page for location updates). Make sure to arrive on time so you don't get left behind! You will sign in there by getting a name tag for your helmet and then groups can discuss goals and desired runs before heading out. If you happen to have a buddy pass you are willing to share please post on our FB event page so shredders without a pass can link up with you!
We strive to be an all inclusive group which includes making accommodations for our immune compromised shred friends! If someone requests masking in registration, we will all abide by masking and support their safety. **Please bring a medical or double layered mask (buffs do not work) to wear anytime you are within 6 ft of other people (lift lines and on the chairlift) in case there is a registration request.** We would also appreciate your assistance in reminding fellow SJ x SIS members to pull masks up when we get in line since we all forget sometimes! Once we are off the chairlift and able to space out you can pull your mask down. Do not attend if you have any symptoms or have been recently exposed to someone with COVID 19 or any other contagious illness.
By attending you expressly assume all dangers of the activities, including injury, property damage, and death. By attending you agree to waive any and all claims against the Shred-It Sisters, and any other meet-up planners/volunteers.
