About this Event
SheJumps is excited to partner with Mtn Gear and Ravenna Brewing for a ski & snowboard wax night, in partnership with Queer Mountaineers!
Come drink a refreshing brew from Ravenna while the professionals from Mtn Gear teach you how to perform a basic wax and tune for your gear. This evening will start with a demonstration; after a break, consider giving it a hands-on try! Ski wax is available for purchase if you would like to try your hand at waxing your skis or board yourself with the guidance from the Mtn Gear experts.
Cost: Attendance for this event is free! Please consider supporting our generous hosts, Ravenna Brewing. If you would like to wax your own gear, you may bring your own wax; a limited amount of ski wax will be available for purchase from Mtn Gear.
Space is limited. Please register on Eventbrite if you would like to attend; waitlist and walk-ins will be allowed pending no-shows if this event is booked to capacity.
What do I need to bring? Bring your skis or board, and we’ll bring the beverages and wax irons! Hands on learning is not mandatory - feel free to come watch and learn if you don’t have your own gear, or you’re not due for a wax.
Who can attend? This event is in partnership with Queer Mountaineers. SheJumps welcomes all women and girls (transgender and cisgender), as well as non-binary people. Queer Mountaineers welcomes outdoor enthusiasts of all backgrounds, genders, and sexualities. If you feel affinity with either of these groups, you are welcome here. This event is designed for all, from the first-time waxers to seasoned gear professionals.

Parking and getting to the event: there is free, ample parking on the street. Public transportation is available via bus.
Facility information: Gender neutral restrooms are available. Seating can be provided for all participants. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Please reference Ravenna Brewing's drink menu and their food truck schedule to learn about specific options for food and drinks.
Accessibility information: Ravenna Brewing Company is ADA accessible and is a paved, single level building.
