About this Event
Join us for SheJumps Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol, a day camp at White Pass Ski Resort on Sunday, February 9th, 2025! Girls will learn mountain safety and first aid while working with the strong women of White Pass Ski Patrol. This event is intended for intermediate to expert skiers/snowboarders ages 8-15. We welcome all girls - transgender and cisgender, as well as non-binary youth to participate in this event.
Program Summary
This SheJumps Wild Skills event is structured as a full-day camp experience. Parents/legal guardians drop off participants for the day, who are then split into teams based on their age and ski/boarding ability. Throughout the day, participants are taught a range of outdoor skills that are utilized by ski patrollers to keep the mountain safe. We will work alongside patrollers and volunteers to learn more about the many facets of mountain safety and first aid. We will provide 1 to 2 female mentorship engaging all generations in the sharing of knowledge and understanding. Connecting experience, energy and love for our natural places with the technical and survival skills girls need to get out and adventure.
Skier/Boarder Ability Level: This event is intended for intermediate to expert skiers & snowboarders. As part of the registration process, you will be asked a variety of questions about how confident the participant is on particular runs at White Pass Ski Resort to help us determine which group they are best suited for.
Cost: This event costs $50 and does not include the cost of a lift ticket.
Lift Tickets: If you are buying a day lift ticket please contact our Event Coordinator, Erin, at [email protected] for a special code for the event prior to purchasing your lift ticket.

At 9:30 am we will start the day at the Ski Patrol building where patrollers will lead all teams in a morning meeting covering ski patrol basics, a tour of the aid room and our agenda for the day.
From there teams will break out and proceed to their various stations throughout the mountain. Stations cover topics including first aid, mountain safety, toboggan use, weather and avalanche basics & prevention. Along the way there is free skiing, surprises and games, of course!
Lunch is NOT included in the day. Parents/guardians are asked to pick up their kids at 1:00pm, and bring them back at 1:45pm. Pick up and drop off will be at the Patrol Building.
After lunch, all teams will proceed to the Nordic area to learn about Nordic Patrol and work through more stations.
