About this Event
Sheffield Pride Deadlift Party is a deadlift meet for anyone across the LGBTQQIA+ spectrum and allies* to celebrate queerness with pride.
The event will be run like a powerlifting meet, but with fewer rules, less competition and much more drag!
We want everyone to have the chance to lift big weights in a safe and inclusive space.
On the day, lifters will be split into different groups based on their starting weights—with no gender or weight categories in sight!
Just let us know what weight you'd like to open with - this is how much you'd like your first deadlift on the platform to be - and then challenge yourself to see what you can do.
You'll get three chances to lift on the platform, with your community around to support and cheer you on!
This is not a competition - it's a party! So come celebrate queer bodies, queer communities and being strong AF.
The day will be run under the guidance of Coach Pennie (@superpennie on insta), your favourite trans nonbinary fitness guy, and hosted by Tito Bone (@KingTitoBone on insta), your average blind nonbinary bisexual drag king.
We will also have some excellent drag performers (TBC) to entertain throughout the day.
All proceeds will go to LGBTQ+ charites doing excellent things!
To enter as an athlete all you have to do is sign up via whichever ticket tier is most appropriate for you and fill out this form letting us know your details, opening weight and t-shirt sized if you've ordered a Tee.

We'll have a fundraising link for everyone to pool together to raise even more for our chosen charity, which all athletes are encouraged to share with their friends and families to help us raise as much as we can.
