The Atterbury Salon is excited to welcome the Sheffa Trio for an evening of jazz fusion rooted in Uruguayan Candombe and other South American rhythms. The Trio features Martin ”Sheffa” Giorgieff on Piano, Juan Chiavassa on Drums and Nacho Mateu on Bass, as well as special guests Fabricio Teodoro, Ariel Benatar and Nazareno Dotto playing traditional Uruguayan Tambores. The evening will feature both original music and traditional latin folk songs with a jazz twist, in which the new elements of jazz meet with the percussive and unique cadence of the legendary and exuberant Candombe rhythm from Uruguay.
The performance will be followed by light refreshments and a chance to meet the artists and socialize. Tickets are $25 at the door but seating must be reserved in advance.
