Easy Social Bike Ride – Sheerness (less than 6 miles)Ride Sheppey Community Cycling Club – Easy Social Bike Ride
Come and join Ride Sheppey Community Cycling Club for a friendly, easy-paced bike ride led by our trained Group Leaders!�Rides start at 10:00 AM, and we welcome cyclists of all skill levels — especially beginners or those returning to cycling.
Route:�A gentle, mostly off-road route of less than 6 miles, designed to be accessible, social, and enjoyable for everyone.
Equipment Borrowing:�🚴♀️ Bikes and helmets are available to borrow free of charge.�Numbers are limited, so please email [email protected] to reserve in advance.
Children:�Children aged 12+ can attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian (1 adult per 1–2 children). Participants under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
Attendance:�Pre-booking is required. You can inform a Group Leader or a member of the management team, email [email protected], book via Eventbrite, or confirm in our WhatsApp group.�Please arrive 15 minutes early for bike checks and a short practice session.
What Happens on a Led Ride?
* Briefing & Bike Check: The Group Leader will explain the route and carry out a bike check.
* During the Ride: The Group Leader rides up front, with an Assistant at the back to ensure no one is left behind.
* Rest Break: Expect a café stop or short refreshment break — bring a drink or some money.
* Duration: Approx. 2 hours total (45–50 minutes of cycling time).
Leadership & Training:�All rides are led by qualified Cycling UK Group Leaders and Assistants.
Inclusive Equipment Policy:�E-bikes, trikes, and adapted cycles are very welcome (please check route suitability beforehand).
Essential Kit:�Bike and helmet (own or borrowed) • Water bottle • Phone • Coat • Comfortable clothing and light jacket.

Safety Notes:
* Helmets required (unless exempt and approved).
* Hi-vis for on-road riding.
