A reflective workshop to explore self awareness, foster self compassion, embrace authenticity and vulnerability while community building.
About this Event

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the unrealistic expectations of creating your "perfect village" of support?

Are you mothering without close family nearby and struggling with finding support?

Are you feeling lonely and grieving the connections you’ve lost since becoming a mother?

Are you feeling exhausted and burnt out, knowing you need support but unsure where to find it?

Do you feel like you're drowning under the weight of motherhood and have no one to turn to?

After welcoming your baby, are you wondering where that supportive village you heard about is?

Do you have a history of mental illness and recognize the importance of setting up social, emotional, and practical supports, but need time and space to create a plan?

Are you feeling overwhelmed and encountering obstacles every time you try to connect with others?

A 2 hour in-person workshop to;

  • Understand why we expect a sparkly village
  • Build self-awareness and where you are placed in the stories we are told
  • Practice self-compassion and talk about the grief we face when we feel lonely and don't have the support or village we dreamed of.
  • Cultivate authenticity, vulnerability and belonging.
  • Learning your needs and how to connect to your true self and your inner compass in creating the motherhood and support you desire.

This workshop is the first step in creating what you crave.

This workshop is to support you in feeling less alone.

This workshop will help you to carve out the path to connection and community.

Often as mothers we are sold an idea of the *sparkly village*, an image of what motherhood will be like.

Think: Picture perfect linen clothes, deep connections with other mothers, food delivered without being asked, joy, love, and sparkly moments that you see in the movies.

We know this often isn't the case, not for everyone.

We want to talk about the otherside. The hard, raw, honest side to mothering in today's society.

We are popping down the masks and opening up a BS free space to understand why we expect a sparkly village when we enter motherhood and how we can shed the expectations.

This is for all those who are craving connection, to be seen and heard, and to belonging. You may be in early postpartum, early motherhood or deep into your mothering journey.

All are welcome. Show up as you are and be held in a supportive and warm space.

We will be providing nibbles as well as a drink on arrival.

Please let us know when you book if you have any dietry requirements.
