United Way of Kaw Valley is supporting this Data Walk at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library.Learn more about significant issues and challenges faced by people in our community. Attend individually or in a group and plan to spend at least 15 minutes engaging with the displays.
The Shawnee County Data Walk will be available for browsing from 9am to 5pm in Marvin Auditorium 101A.
If you would like to bring a group for a facilitated tour and discussion, email [email protected]. Sessions are also available at 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm.
Factors that shape health include education, economic status and access to essential services, such as affordable housing and child care. Visit the Data Walk to reflect on these factors and begin meaningful conversation about health in Shawnee County. Facilitators will be present to ask questions and foster discussion.
The Data Walk features eight expanded posters with local data about health regarding these factors and the importance of improving community health. Learning more is a step toward taking action to improve.
