Jazz, funk and fusion led by Snarky Puppy’s piano and keyboard player.------------------------------------------------------------------
Shaun Martin is a member of the successful American band Snarky Puppy, with which he has won several Grammy Awards. He also collaborated with star singers such as Erykah Badu, Chaka Khan and Kirk Franklin. In Three-O he plays both piano and keyboards, often simultaneously, accompanied by powerful bass guitar and drums.
On the recent album Three-O, the trio alternates original compositions with funky versions of the jazz classics Naima (John Coltrane) and Afro Blue (Mongo Santamaría). Shaun Martin displayed his mastery of a more traditional jazz style on his previous release Focus, with acoustic piano renditions of standards by Joe Henderson and Billie Holiday.
