Shatter Machine is a project of compositions by Queens-based guitarist, Sean Saville. It is music inspired by core memories of growing up in upstate New York— frigid cold winters, monster truck rallies, DIY shows, cartoon re-runs, and futile attempts at ‘don’t try this at home’ makeshift chaos.

All of these experiences culminate in songs that toggle between rigid composition and elastic free improvisation. Shatter Machine is a vessel for music that is as dissonant as it is lush, stopping and changing at a moment’s notice.
