About this Event
Learn about the sea turtles that live in Florida’s waters. This presentation will discuss the different species and their life cycle, as well as an overview of the sea turtle nest monitoring and research conducted right here on Sanibel and Captiva beaches. You’ll also learn what you can do to help conserve these magnificent creatures!
Savannah grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and went to college at the University of South Carolina. She participated in a variety of marine science internships, where she first developed her passion for sea turtle conservation. She went on to obtain a master’s degree from Florida State University and conducted her research thesis on sea turtle foraging ecology, before becoming employed by SCCF as a sea turtle biologist.
