David Lloyd Bradley and Tess Mosko Scherer present “Shared Lives.” The sharing of space, time, and energy in their relationship. David Bradley’s portraits represent all the people who have traveled with him during his time as a fine arts professor. His ceramic reliefs walk the line between two-dimensional and three-dimensional work where recognition of the image comes from a particular point of view while other points of view are incomplete or distorted. Bradley has been a ceramic artist for over 50 years. He creates functional and sculptural art and mixed media public art.
Tess Mosko Scherer’s sculptural books celebrate the familiarity of everyday life; wood, repurposed tea bags, stitching, paper, metal, and the ‘book’ itself. Stitches replace words. These marks represent the unspoken: the silent communication between humans and animals, between lovers, and the relationship with oneself. Mosko Scherer is inspired by nature and the human condition. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and is found in collections across the globe.
