About this Event
Join the Harbor Operations Education Subcommittee for Q&A with a tug captain, a ferry captain, a sailor, and a kayaker discussing best practices for staying safe. Share navigation tips with fellow boaters over lunch as we kick off the summer season!
This program is free and open to all. RSVPs are strongly encouraged and appreciated to ensure we have enough materials and refreshments. You will not need a ticket, please just give your name at the check-in table.
We'll gather in the large, indoor space of the Downtown Boathouse in Hudson River Park, but still be right next to the water for inspiration.
Saturday, May 4th, 2024 - 10am to 4pm
At the Downtown Boathouse, Pier 26, Hudson River Park
You will not need a ticket, please just give your name at the check in table.
Feel free to dress comfortably for spending the day on the pier. If conditions allow, there might be the opportunity to go kayaking in the afternoon. If conditions allow, no special dress or equipment is required for kayaking, but you will want to be comfortable getting wet. For additional details about free kayaking, please click the link for the Downtown Boathouse.
Thank you to the Downtown Boathouse and Hudson River Park for hosting the program and to the Maritime Association of the Port of NY/NJ for sponsoring our pizza lunch!
