I’ll be meandering through a selection of original music. Starting with a relaxed and gentle mood, evolving into a more groovy and upbeat vibration with my live electronic setup and my trusty electric bass
This is not an ecstatic dance, but by all means dance.
This is not a sound journey but by all means you can treat it as one.
This is not a sing along but by all means, sing along.
In the pursuit of stillness and slowing down, I hope for us to:
- share in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere where we can
express ourselves and connect with each other and our feelings
- deposit some joy into our memory banks
- sink into the hum of the universe together
- Remember WE GOT BORN YO!

Doors will open at 7pm and you will have a few moments to get comfy as we settle in … I’ll begin at 730pm … with a half time break … to finish around 930pm

Tenā Koutou, beautiful humans of the Bay of Abundance. Kō Hanno ahau.
I’m originally from South Africa, currently a music therapy masters student in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. I began my adventure here in Aotearoa down in Gore 2019… started at the bottom now we hea!
Having lived in Mount Maunganui for just under 2 years, I feel a deep connection to the Whenua and people there. After 2 special shows in 2023 (House concert and Jam Factory) I am bubbling to return. This will be my first event in the Bay of Abundance in 2024.
Come and dream, sing or dance with me… with a message of hope and unity and filled with a sense of wonder, Hanwho aims to move people inwards and outwards and offers a unique performance here in Aotearoa. Using live electric bass, voice, synths, MPC and guitar he balances the organic live music space with subtle electronic undertones and afro grooves. Hanwho has performed on the main stage at Earth Beat Festival 2023 and at NZ Spirit Fest 2022 as well as various gatherings across the Motu with fellow maestros Alice Sea, Antonio Karam, Carlos Riegel, Tait Kora and Barnaby Weir (Black Seeds).
