About this Event
In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of makeup contouring across a range of skin tones and gender expressions. Whether you want to feminize or masculinize your face (or mix and match techniques for an androgynous look), the hosts will guide you through each step of the process during an interactive live tutorial.
Together, Fluxx and a guest co-host will together demonstrate on themselves how to contour each part of the face. Fluxx will show how to do masculine contouring on lighter skin, and their co-host will demonstrate feminine contouring on darker skin. Participants can pick and choose which host to follow during each step of the contouring process. After demonstrating each step, participants will have time to practice themselves and ask the hosts for personal feedback.Although these contouring techniques can be translated to the stage, this workshop is geared towards learning the strategy behind the technique using ordinary makeup products.
There will be opportunities at the start and end of the event to take before and after photos if you choose. There will be supplies on-site for makeup removal, but all participants are invited to debut their new face and celebrate together at the event’s official afterparty–the Dayton Silent Disco! The afterparty at the Brightside will immediately follow the workshop with tickets sold separately.

What to bring:
- Primer - to protect your skin
- Color corrector - optional, but recommended to conceal stubble or redness
- Foundation - 2 contrasting shades for shadows and highlights
- Setting powder and spray - to make your artwork LAST
- Concealer - a drag artist’s magic eraser to hide mistakes
- Blush and highlighter - optional
- Beauty blenders and brushes
- Eye makeup and lipstick - optional since it’s a contouring-focused workshop, but there
- will be free time at the end for these finishing touches
- Personal makeup mirror
