Shape the Future: Kansas City Reparations Community Conversation

You are invited to a Community Conversation hosted by the Mayor's Commission on Reparations Research Team. This event is designed to inform and engage residents on a vital reparations research project.

What to Expect

Get Informed: Learn about the work of the Mayor's Commission on Reparations and the intention of the Research Team.

Share Your Story: Community members are invited to share personal experiences and stories of harm with the Research Team, should they desire, after the main session.

We Want to Hear From You!

We are asking Kansas City residents to share the stories of how the city has impacted their lives and how Reparations could work to repair those harms in five key areas:

1. Economics
2. Health
3. Housing
4. Criminal Justice
5. Education

These stories should specifically highlight instances where residents, or members of their families or neighborhoods, felt they had been negatively affected or experienced harm due to actions, policies, or oversights by the city.
