About this Event
With the Scottish Parliament elections approaching, the critical questions of who owns what and who benefits in the era-defining shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy are more pressing than ever.
Come along - or join remotely - to our community energy hustings, where candidates from across the political spectrum will face your questions on local power. This is our chance to demand clear commitments on support for community-owned renewable energy, on ensuring local wealth stays local, and on making sure the energy transition benefits every household, village and town across Scotland. Come and hold our future representatives to account —let's ensure the next Scottish Parliament puts people and planet at the heart of our energy system.
Doors open for refreshments at 6.30pm, event starts at 7pm.
This event will be hybrid - so you can come along in person or join us remotely. If you're joining remotely, a zoom link will be in the confirmation email that you receive when you book your ticket.
This event is being organised by the Scottish Community Coalition on Energy - whose members include Community Energy Scotland, Community Land Scotland and the Development Trusts Association Scotland.
