On Wednesday, July 10th, Irish virtuoso guitarist Shane Hennessy will be performing an intimate show from 7-9 PM in the Tap Room at Waldo Folk!
Shane Hennessy is a virtuoso fingerstyle guitarist, singer/songwriter, and composer from Ireland. With an upbringing in the world of Irish traditional music, Shane has been captivating audiences globally for the past few years, with sell-out solo tours in Europe and North America under his belt, as well as regular appearances at major international music festivals including MerleFest (NC), Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival (Winfield, KS), Kansas City Irish Fest (MO) and Milwaukee Irish Fest (WI).
A musician from a young age, Shane credits his background in Irish traditional music as the base on which he has built his genre-defying musical explorations. Shane has since developed an unmistakably unique voice as a fingerstyle guitarist, blending his native Irish music with elements of jazz, country, blues, funk, classical, soul, world, and hip-hop. His live shows are known for their energy and variety - anything from Bach to Beyoncé! Irish Music Magazine has called him “one of the most exciting live performers of his generation”.

The two-hour show will start at 7:00 PM and doors will open at 5:30 PM on July 10th in the Tap Room at Waldo Pizza.
Food and drink from Waldo Pizza will be available for purchase throughout the show.
Seating is first come first serve at shared tables. Please arrive early to select your seat.
Tickets are required for entry.
