Welcome to the Shands Rd Christmas Experience, New Zealand’s, quite possibly the world’s largest Christmas light experience! For 18 years, we’ve had the joy of sharing this magical tradition with visitors from near and far, and each year brings new delights, and it’s been an absolute pleasure seeing how far our wee tradition has reached.Come and experience the magic of this wonderful, slightly crazy but always entertaining light show that’s perfect for all ages. The 2025 season runs every night from Saturday, November 29th, to Tuesday, December 30th, from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 15.
We have hot food, sweet treats, and freshly brewed coffee from our onsite vendors (available for separate purchase). We accept cash, EFTPOS, all major credit cards, and PayWave.
Enjoy hassle-free parking in our spacious off-street paddock, complete with traffic marshals to guide you safely. It’s a much better option than street parking!
Whether you’re a longtime local or discovering us for the first time, you’re in for a memorable evening. Bring the kids for a night of wonder, take a first date to skip the small talk, or score points with your spouse by inviting the in-laws!
