About this Event
“The course of true love never did run smooth.”
From Shakespeare, Lord Byron, Pablo Neruda, Langston Hughes, and more, we’re celebrating the greatest love poets from around the world on the most romantic day of the year! The Literature Department invites you to listen or perform some of the greatest works of romantic literature in The Free Library of Philadelphia’s Skyline Room.
Choose your favorite love poem, monologue, or scene to perform, or simply enjoy the performances of the night as an audience member!
This event is free, but advance registration is required. Please limit performances to about 3 minutes; please keep content related to the topic of love.
The event will take place in the Skyline Room on the 4th floor.
