About this Event
Never miss a Sunday show.
Shakedown Sunday is a monthly series hosted by Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers and members of Dead to the Core, with special guests, that celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead—not just the band’s originals but songs from across the roots and rock worlds they made their own.
The August Shakedown Sunday features Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers, Wendy Sassafras Ramsay, and Tim Burns of Dead to the Core with Brian Welch and special guest Andy Dru Rodgers.
Andy Dru Rodgers is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, ukulele, cavaquinho, bouzouki) based in northern California. Growing up in New Jersey, he and Jeffrey learned to play guitar and sing together, with plenty of Dead songs and space jamming in the mix, and began performing as a duo when they were teenagers. Relocated to San Francisco, they showcased their original acoustic rock in the ’90s with the band Heavy Wood. Dru currently performs with the alt-Americana band SoloRio, which has jammed with Mickey Hart and opened for Phil Lesh and Friends.
Expect deep cuts, fresh collaborations, and old favorites reimagined.
