About this event:
Shake Up Fashion is a charity gala that supports the Downtown Arts District/CityArts and the Advent Health Neuroscience Institute. Featured artist, Margie Burns, is navigating through life as a person with Parkinson's Disease. She found that one of her best forms of therapy is making art. This event brings awareness of this disease and highlights one strong woman's incredible journey. Guests will get an up-close-and-personal look into her life and what she's been able to accomplish through her creative mind!
Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of food, fashion, art, and film.

Why is this event happening?
To educate people about Parkinson's Disease and to support research. Dr. Arnaldo Isa is the evening's guest speaker, who will be available to answer any questions from a clinical point. Featured artist Margie Burns will discuss a "day the life" of an individual with Parkinson's Disease. A social worker and research tech from the Advent Heath Neuroscience Department will be available for questions. A portion of the ticket sales will support the Advent Health Neuroscience Department.
