WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:International teacher, shag-scene pillar, contest-winner (and fellow Italian) Ada is coming to Utrecht!
This is a great chance to learn from one of the best up-and-coming shag dancers (both following and leading) in Europe.
So we decided to give you the opportunity to bring your shag up a notch and organize a workshop on Sunday the 9th of February.
Ada will be supported by Federico, who has known her from birth (they are both from Bologna, so it must be something with the air there) and has followed her meteoric rise to stardom.
We are going to share Ada’s favourite material in two classes.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Class 1 - BEG/INT and up: Breaking Up the Basic
Here we will work on getting out of standard shag patterns, mixing steps and rhythms to make our dance more fluid and musical and to find new ways to interact with our partner.
Class 2 - INT/ADV and up: Rhythm Turns
In this class we will make use of different rhythmical patterns to change some known moves, focusing on the energy of rotations and the dynamic of turns.
Both classes are suitable for people of any level of experience. In fact the two classes will build up on common concepts and technique and they can be taken together. The second class will be a bit more challenging and make use of some of the material from the first one.
The general theme of the workshop will be playing with rhythmical patterns and changing footwork patterns in shag, both in basic shapes and in more advanced figures.
Besides this thread, in both classes we will spend some time on classic clips to get some inspiration for styling and posture.
