About this Event
This hands-on, low-pressure craft experience is all about experimenting, hanging out, and letting ideas unfold—no art background required.
You’ll have a mix of playful materials to work with, from paint and collage to embroidery and mixed media, so you can go bold, minimal, chaotic, or cozy. The result? A one-of-a-kind lampshade you’ll actually want to take home and use. Lamp size is 3.5x5.5x5 Inch.
With two live DJs setting the vibe, this will be a creative night—easygoing, social, and full of good energy. Come for the craft, stay for the music, conversation, and seeing how wildly different everyone’s lampshades turn out.

About Sunset Commons:
Carmen and Steven started Sunset Commons to provide a space to connect and build community through arts and craft activities led by talented local artists. Inspired by a love for creativity and a desire to foster connection in the Sunset District, we envisioned a “third space” where neighbors can gather, unwind, and form meaningful relationships. Our mission is to empower self-expression, boost confidence, and offer an inclusive haven for everyone, from introverts seeking a calm environment to those enjoying health-focused traditional teas. Sunset Commons is not just a business - it’s our way of enriching the community we love and to the city we both grew up in.
