He has also recently appeared as a guest lead singer with Peter Hook & The Light, further cementing his connection to Joy Division's legacy. He embodies Curtis's essence, creating an immersive experience that captivates audiences. With unwavering love and respect for Joy Division and the late, great Ian Curtis, the band brings every performance to life with unmatched precision. Adding to their credentials, Rowetta—Factory Records icon and Happy Mondays legend, as well as a frequent Peter Hook collaborator—performed with Shadowplay at Band on The Wall in Manchester in 2024.
Impressive, dramatic portrayals of Joy Division have featured in the movies Control, 24 Hour Party People, and the stage play - New Dawn Fades (for which Shadowplay's lead singer was invited to take the lead role in 2024).
