Judaism is often considered a religion of the mind, defined by the study and practice of Jewish law, but it also is rich in traditions of the body, engaging sights, sounds, emotions, and feelings of spirituality. Embodied spirituality refers to a lived experience of spirituality that is grounded in the body. We often think of the body as a temple of G-d, however it is also an actual living expression of the Divine. Consider this notion as you move your body through your day whether brushing your teeth, taking a walk, creating a meal, taking tango lessons or………the practice of yoga.
Come experience Shabbat through movement with Jett Ulaner Saracheck and Ann Friedenheim on the last Saturday of each month as we experience Shabbat through the practice of yoga. Consider taking this time to slow down, tune in and nurture ourselves in a way that is different from the business of our daily lives. A gentle practice of postures, breath and meditation for people of all levels of yoga practice and newcomers. All are welcome.
Bring a mat, blocks, blanket, or anything that will bring you comfort in your practice.
