“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.” – Oscar WildeShō Your Self is an exhibition seeking to expand the idea of a portrait. Both traditional and non-traditional concepts of portraiture are welcome.

SHO YOUR SELF JURORS AWARD – all accepted artists are eligible
The winning artist will be awarded a solo exhibition of their artwork at Sho Studios (exhibition to take place within 2 years of award acceptance, dates TBD by availability)
Sho Studios will provide venue, opening reception, curation/hanging of the work. A 20% commission will apply to any work sold during the exhibition. Sho associates will be available to tour visitors through the exhibition during Sho business hours.
Eligibility, Terms & Conditions of Entry
Eligibility:
Shō Your Self Juried Portraiture Exhibition is open to artists living in Windsor/Essex County. All electronic submissions meeting the terms and conditions of entry will be forwarded to the jurors.
Terms and Conditions of Entry:
By submitting your entry, you are agreeing to the following:
– Up to 3 artworks, $25 CAD. Jury fees are non-refundable.
– The exhibition is open to all artists living in Windsor/Essex County.
– All submissions must be original artwork in traditional media including painting, drawing, pastel, printmaking, sculpture, fibre art, photography, mixed media, and digital art. Artwork must be solely created by the artist.
– Art must have been completed within the last 3 years.
– There are no size restrictions for artwork for this Exhibition however pieces exceeding 5ft x 5ft will only be accepted if space allows.
– The artist by submission grants Shō Studios the right to use images of the accepted work for publicity on social media and our website.
– All submitted artworks should be for sale. Shō Studios will handle all sales of artwork with a 20% commission taken during the exhibition.
– All submitted artworks must be ready for hanging/display with all suitable hardware included. Any special instructions for display should be submitted with artwork on drop off day. Artwork that is judged not to be display ready may, by necessity, be excluded from the show.

Complete the online submission form and upload the digital files of your artwork (jpeg format, no bigger that 2MB each).
Fill out the submission form and complete payment to submit your information and digital artwork files.
There is a $25 submission fee for up to 3 pieces.
