Get into the holiday spirit by designing a unique holiday plate—perfect for cookies, charcuterie, or even your favorite bowl of spaghetti! In this workshop, you’ll start with a smooth white clay plate that’s been coated in black stain, giving you a striking canvas to carve your design. Using your own artwork or one of your instructor’s templates, you’ll carefully scratch through the surface to reveal the white clay beneath—creating bold, beautiful imagery in the sgraffito style. Want to add a little holiday flair? Red and green accents will be available to give your piece a festive pop of color. A steady hand goes a long way, so maybe hold off on that second cup of coffee! Your plate will be clear glazed and kiln-fired by your instructor after class. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in about 4–6 weeks. Shipping is available for out-of-town guests for an additional fee.Instructor: Alyson Webber
