John Collins McCormick was born in 1983 in Fort Wayne Indiana. He played drums in Dead Letter Auction from 99-2002 and attended the School Of The Museum of Fine Art, Boston, Purchase College State University of New York and Herron School of Art and Design earning a Bachelors and Masters of fine art degrees in sculpture, using sound as a material. McCormick performed and released albums as Sky Thing from 08-13 after which he's used his full name for all his projects.
John's performances are full of "play" and genuine exploration of the sounds that objects can make. His ensemble of odds and ends has grown to resonate upon a multi-channel array of subwoofers in drum stands which he calls the "Healthy Alternative to Thinking."

David Miller + Marty Belcher + Richard Jermain trio
This newish ensemble has only been together a few months but collectively have generations of work which precedes it. Together the trio creates slowly shifting fields of evocative melody and texture.
David Miller has borne the weight of Bloomington's improvised music and jazz community for decades, organizing Jazz Fables at Bear's Place: a weekly series featuring adventurous jazz players from around the world.
Marty has been a steady contributor to Bloomington's underground and improvised scene, playing in groups like Ortet, Unstable Ensemble and (d)(b)(h).
Richard Jermain creates electronic interfaces to control resonations of guitars and cymbals, playing familiar instruments by completely alien methods.
