Steven Van Patten is a fantasy / horror writer. His Blackwater's Curse trilogy features an 1860s plantation-slave-turned-vampire-enforcer. His Killer Genius series features a socially conscious hyper-intelligent Black woman serial killer.

Mr Van Patten has also written short fiction. By day he is a stage manager for television shows produced in New York and in California.
