About this Event
Come explore the night sky at the SFA Observatory, located 11 miles north of Nacogdoches. This is a free event put on by the SFASU Physics, Engineering, and Astronomy Department.
The SFA Observatory is the second-largest observatory in the state (and the entire central time zone, for that matter!) and the largest student observatory in Texas.
Telescopes will be available to look at notable objects in the sky, and astronomers will give a tour of the sky and answer any questions.
Registrants will be notified by at least 1 pm on the day of the event, Saturday, April 26 (but likely the day before) if the event is cancelled due to weather conditions.
Please contact us for questions about handicap accessibility.
