About this Event
LETS GO FISHING! We are finalizing our upcoming fishing trips for 2025 with the glorious "Bass Tub Sportfishing" located @ 286 Jefferson St, San Francisco, CA 94133 . Here is the link to sign up- Deposits or full amounts must be paid 72 hours prior to trip. 1st trip is May11th - Bass & Halibut 2nd trip is August 30th - Potluck 3rd trip is November 8th - Crab All you need is your smiling face, a good attitude and an ice chest for all of your drinks, snacks and sandwiches during the day and fish to take home that night... (fingers crossed, there's a reason they call it fishing and not catching) DRESS IN LAYERS!!! we've froze to death in July and had heat stroke in October/November. There is no rhyme or reason to the San Francisco weather. Layers allows you to bundle up, and peel off. The BassTub is a 53' boat with a large inside cabin should you need to get out of the cold or the heat. However, its impossible to catch fish from inside, just ask Makala. “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco,” - Mark Twain Check in on the boat is from 5:00 A M. to 5:15 A.M. and Anchor is up at 5:30 A.M. from Jones st. & Jefferson @ the Embarcadero. (286 Jefferson St, San Francisco, CA 94133) I recommend getting a room the night before because 5 AM comes early. https://www.hotelcaza.com/ is where we like to stay. It’s in walking distance to the boat and you can keep your vehicle in parking for up to 24 hours. So that’s why we choose that location. This trip we will be staying at a club Wyndham a little farther away @ https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinations.com/us/en/resorts/wyndham-hotels-resorts/united-states-of-america/california/san-francisco/club-wyndham-canterbury If you've never been before, here is a little bit of fishing etiquette, some do's and don'ts if you will, and an idea of what the trip will look like. https://wickedlyawesome.com/blogs/fishing-guide/essential-guide-to-fishing-etiquette-dos-and-donts-on-a-charter-boat#:~:text=Show%20your%20appreciation%20for%20their,day%20out%20on%20the%20water. --------------------------------------- Here's the boats information information. 👇 http://www.basstub.com --------------------------------------- You need a California fishing license to fish and must have it before the boat pushes from the wharf so please don't forget. Look for the "One-day Sport Fishing License" should cost about $19.18 and can be found here: 👇 California fishing license https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/licensing/fishing The license you are looking for should read: One-day Sport Fishing License, "Allows a resident or nonresident to fish for one specified day. One-day sport fishing licenses are exempt from the Ocean Enhancement Validation requirement." --------------------------------------- HOTELS: A Good and reasonable Hotel is: 👇 La Quinta inn & Suites 20 airport blvd , South San Francisco CA 94080 (650)583-2223 (this one is a bit further out, but when traveling in at 4:30 AM, it's about a 15 minute drive.) You'll need to park in a garage or lot when you arrive. (See below 👇) Closer, but a bit more expensive: Hotel Caza Fisherman’s Wharf 1300 Columbus Ave, San Francisco, CA 94133. Phone: 650-502-4200 https://www.hotelcaza.com/ This is where we will probably stay. (If you stay here, you can walk to the boat and you won't need to pay for additional parking or move your rig in the morning.) --------------------------------------- Parking: 👇 Parking option A (outside parking) easiest, but not always open at 5:00 A.M. is Fisherman's Wharf lot. 488 Beach St. San Francisco. Parking option B, (covered parking) ⚓Anchorage Square Garage: 542 Beach St, San Francisco, CA 94133 This one has 24 hour access. Height clearance is 6'9" The Bass Tub will be able to validate parking for a reduced price. --------------------------------------- Finally there is an amazing crew working hard to make sure that you don't have to. (Probably Jeffery and Patrick) They are primarily paid off of your tips. They will make sure your pole is always ready to go, always baited, always down in the water, and they will (almost) always be there to help you get the one you just landed, on to the boat. At the end of the day they will clean your fish for a small per fish fee, and they will gas their cars and feed their families with your support in tips, so please be generous, these guys are family to us, and you will see exactly how hard they work for that all mighty dollar. Thank you. Traditionally tipping is similar to an evening out to dinner. Standard tips are 20%-25% of your total bill. https://southerncomfort4charters.com/tipping-the-crew/#:~:text=Standard%20tips%20are%2020%25%2D,one%20of%20his%20crew%20members. https://www.hatchmag.com/articles/why-and-how-much-you-should-tip-your-fishing-guide/7714957#:~:text=And%20because%20it's%20the%20service,20%25%20of%20your%20trip%20cost. https://help.fishingbooker.com/143076-before-my-trip/360010401273-How-much-should-I-tip-#:~:text=The%20industry%20standard%20is%2015,in%20the%20trip%20price%20itself.p See you on the boat.
