About this Event
This six-week course will help you feel empowered in your sexual expression, experience more sexual pleasure and gain a better understanding of your needs through education, somatic exercises, and fun activities. Best of all, you’ll take this journey with other women who can support and celebrate with you along the way.
Why most women (& men) need this course:
Sexuality is beautiful. It can offer physical pleasure, connection with our partners, and even fun. Your high school Sex Ed class might have taught you some basic anatomy, how to put a condom on a banana, and may have instilled fear of pregnancy and STIs. But did anyone explain the average length of time it takes for a woman to achieve peak arousal? Did they even hint at the variety of sexual experiences and relationship dynamics available? Most critically, were you told that you have the right to explore and express your sexuality in exactly the way that works for you? Sigh. I know, we deserved more. But it’s not too late. Let’s discover your peak pleasure potential together.
What this course offers:
Education – These lessons go way beyond the basics.
· Anatomy of pleasure
· Context, setting & core desires
· Communication
· Dimensions of sex and foundational skills
Somatic Exercises & Fun Activities – Talking and “knowing” are very different from integrating. We’ll use body-based and creative tools to really absorb this information. (There will be no nudity or overtly sexual activities. And you’ll never be forced to do anything you’re uncomfortable with.)
· Embodiment, mindfulness and breathwork
· Crafts, yes crafts, and games! (Materials included)
· Self-discovery prompts to continue your exploration between meetings (optional)
Community – There is too much silence surrounding sex! We either don’t talk about it or we’re not honest about it. This often leads to shame and feelings that there’s something wrong with us. This course is an opportunity to hear other women’s experiences, release shame and celebrate our sexuality!
Please note that this is intended to be very interactive. I hope to create a space that makes you feel open to share, laugh and engage with the group.
Dates: February 25, March 4, 11, 18, 25 & April 1
*Gender, like sexuality, is not binary. While the term “women” may feel very restrictive, this course address topics most affecting vulva-bodied humans who were socialized as women. I offer other group programs and individual sessions that embrace more of the spectrum, and I hope you will join me there if this course is not the best fit for you. With love, Heather.
