Sexual Pleasure - Within RSE

This full day course is part of our multi-agency training programme aimed at any staff, volunteers and carers working with or supporting young people.

Training is FREE to all those working in Nottingham City and Southern Boroughs (Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe).

With the increase of pornography directly to mobile phones and sexual conduct in some online computer games there has been an obivious disconnect from the medical view of sexual organs solely in relation to reproductive health.

A gap still exists in terms of young people and staff who work with them, to identify the areas of the body responsible for pleasure, how it dffers across the genders, the barriers to experiencing pleasure and ensuring young people feel equipped to ask for wants and needs related to sex as a means of establishing safe, healthy relationships.

This course aims to:

Increase young people’s knowledge and understanding of pleasure and the signs to look out for that the body is ready for sex, identify the barriers to experiencing pleasure and empower them make safe and healthy choices to maintain their own sexual health.

By the end of the training participants should have an increased understanding of how we can better support positive changes for young people, highlighting increased self-esteem, positive relationships including sexual pleasure, negotiation and communication skills development.
