About this Event
This class will be an overview of sex trafficking, what it is, what it is not, those who are vulnerable, discussing myths of sex trafficking, and the various types of sex trafficking. We will also discuss the trafficker’s role and various recruitment tactics that are used. We will briefly discuss trauma bonding to bring an understanding as to why those being trafficked stay. We will close out this class by talking about how the community at large can help in the fight against trafficking.
This class is offered for FREE, but registration is encouraged, as seats are limited. This is the first class in a series of four. All classes are available to take individually, and there are no requirements to take any or all of the others in the series. Participants can jump in anytime, even if they were unable to attend the previous class(es). Adult subject matter, ages 14+ recommended.
