- Understanding the CQC’s guidance on sexuality in adult social care
- Recognising the importance of person-centred care in relation to sexuality and relationships
- Approaches to handle sensitive conversations and situations professionally
- Respecting clients’ rights and preferences while maintaining professional boundaries
Assessment: At the end of the session, participants will complete a short-written assessment to confirm their understanding of the course content. This assessment helps ensure attendees can apply the learning outcomes in their care roles.

This course is aimed at all care staff. This course follows the guidance from CQC on Relationships and Sexuality in Adult Social Care Services. At the end of the training session, there is a short written assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.

- Best interest assessment in relation to a person’s consent to sex
- Discuss how to support individuals with a physical disability
- Discuss how to support individuals accessing dating services Sexual Disinhibition
- Understand the term sexual disinhibition
- Discuss how to support individuals exhibiting sexual disinhibition
- Understand responses to unwanted sexual behaviour Consent
- Discuss assessing capacity to consent to sexual relations Sexuality and relationships within key lines of enquiry (KLOE)
- Discuss questions that should be asked.
