About this courseThis workshop will extend your basic sewing skills, working with stretch fabrics to construct a simple garment using a commercial pattern. You'll learn how to explore the stretch stitches on your sewing machine or overlocker to obtain a professional finish. Good basic sewing skills required.
Materials Required: There are some excellent knit fabrics available that are ideal for making comfortable and stylish garments for all members of the family. You will need to bring:
- a simple commercial pattern suitable for stretch/knit fabric
- your chosen fabric (washed and ironed)
- notions required for your garment
- pins, tape measure etc.
- your own machine or overlocker
A limited selection of sample patterns will also be available on the first day.
Please bring your own refreshments on the day.
