Do you have some basic sewing machine skills and want to take it up a notch?In this class, we'll make a zippered, lined toiletries bag in the morning and look at hem options and techniques in the afternoon. Bring an item of clothing you're wanting to change in length - shorter or longer pant legs, skirt or sleeves? Or you can learn a folded contrast hem technique, a great way of giving new life to a garment.You can bring your own machine, or use one of ours. All materials are provided, or you can bring your own garment to work on the hem/s.Please Note: These classes are created using circular economy principles. This means we love using many recycled and reclaimed fabrics, and haberdashery items for our sewing projects. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
