About this Event
This course introduces the student to the intermediate concepts of garment construction. The student will have an overview of the industrial equipment, the processes of measuring, cutting, sewing, and the sequence of assembly. Prerequiste Sewing/construction 101
Student learning outcomes upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
Analyze and adopt construction methodology to industry standards.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of basic industrial equipment
Demonstrate knowledge of seams, sewing, and pressing operations
Demonstrate an understanding of grain line, cutting, marking, and sequence of assembly.
Demonstrate an ability to use measuring tools to demonstrate technical accuracy
Demonstrate an understanding of the basic process of garment assembly
The course is 8-weeks from 8 pm-10 pm each Wednesday starting 3/29-5/24
