Sewing Crash Course 2.0! If you've always wanted to learn to sew but didn't know where to start, this is the class for you! Join us to practice the basics of your sewing machine while Lillia walks you through this beginner-friendly project: a reusable bag! This bag is great to toss in your purse, car, or backpack to have an on-the-go reusable bag.
Students will walk out of the class knowing:
French Seaming
Ironing
Making Straps
Hemming
No machine? Not a problem. We will have machines for you to use if needed. Please let us know ahead of time. If you do own a machine, it is suggested you bring it so you can go home knowing how to use your machine!
What to Bring:
· Your machine, if you have one
· Scissors, snips
· Thread
· Empty bobbin spools
· Seam ripper
· Pins/Clips
Meet Your Instructor!
This workshop is taught by Denton's Digital Seamstress, Lillia Whittington. Lillia is a Denton based influencer who is using her love of sewing to educate the community of Denton and online about how to sew. She has been sewing since she was 4 years old, and graduated in 2018 with her BA in Fashion Design.
