About this Event
From making our own cloth to cutting out patterns in a more sustainable way, we will learn how to shift our creative thinking in a whole new direction.
This class is for sewers who feel confident on the sewing machine and are ready to step their patterning and creative minds up a level.
There are MANY ways to be zero waste, and in this class series we will discuss creating our own textile and garment from scrap fabric, remnant pieces, and make a piece that fits our own magical body too.
We provide 4 amazing new sewing machines from Quality Sew & Vacuum, sergers and a coverlock too. Feel free to bring your own from home as we want to empower your comfort level working on your own machine, and if it's easier to use our then we got you.
We will provide paper for patterning, scissors and pins and scrap fabric that is already at the KFLY studio. If you have scrap fabric, or items you've loved that you're ready to redesign, bring those items in. We will also have a fiber haul from the Goodwill so you can rely on us for most of the materials to learn on.
