Sewing 101 - August Series

This five-week series is perfect for sewing newbies who want to build their sewing skills with practice and support on a weekly basis. You will learn basic sewing machine operation, useful sewing skills and how to use different sewing tools, while building your confidence with fun and functional projects. Each week we will introduce new sewing terms and techniques that you will get to apply to weekly in-class projects.

Sep 3: Craft Apron

Each week builds upon previous ones and projects get progressively more advanced, so you can practice what you've already learned. Absolute beginners are encouraged to begin with the first session, which covers basic machine operation and sewing tools, but sewists of all levels are welcome to join any of the sessions.

Fabric requirements will be emailed upon sign-up. Registered students will also receive 15% off fabric and sewing supplies at Stonemountain & Daughter Fabrics. You will need to bring your prewashed fabric and coordinating thread for each project. Instructions and sewing tools are provided in class. Sewing machines are available for rent and must be reserved when registering for the class. If you bring your own sewing machine, having your manual accessible is helpful for machine specific questions (downloaded to your phone is fine).

PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW LOCATION: All classes are now held at Fiber Circle Studio (113 Kentucky St) in downtown Petaluma on Tuesday evenings, 5:00pm-7:30pm.

Cost: $325 for all five sessions, $70 for individual sessions - Register by June 30 and save 10% (discount automatically applied at checkout)

Class Size: 3-6

Cancellation Policy: If you cannot attend a session, you are welcome to send someone in your place with advance notice. If we can fill your spot, you will be issued a refund (minus Eventbrite fees). If the minimum class size is not reached, the class will be cancelled 48 hours prior to its start time and you will be issued a full refund.
